FJD Consulting worked with the client to produce a design for a UTX near Lewisham in London. The UTX was required to cross the railway underneath two lines on an embankment, but tie into a route at the base of the embankment.

FJD Consulting have delivered the structural and geotechnical design for the replacement of DCL/56 Old River Cherwell Underbridge, which carries the railway over the River Cherwell in King's Sutton near Banbury. The structural design comprised the detailed design of a 9.6m wide Network Rail Standard Design (NRSD) Type-E steel half-through bridge and production of the associated Form A document and drawings.

FJD Consulting have been involved in the Electrical and Civil Engineering design associated with the new EV charging installation at the South Lakes Porsche Centre.

This scheme originated with a programme to expose and inspect the hidden critical elements of footbridges and canopies at 61 train stations across Wales, some of which are English Heritage Grade II and Grade II* Listed Structures.

The station had been lit via temporary 110v lighting for a prolonged period due to the technical difficulties in sourcing a lighting solution to the platform.

FJD Consulting have been commissioned to act as the Lead Civil Engineering Designer for the enhancement works of Quakers Yard Station, located on the line running between Merthyr Tydfil and Abercynon.

The scope was to design temporary cable diversion works over rail bridge LEC2/79, crossing the River Anker, to enable waterproofing.

The scope of the project was to deliver critical structural strengthening to the SPC7/8 railway bridge located at the crossing with the River Derwent in Derbyshire. The structure route availability (RA) was substantially limited by common defects at each of the bearing locations of the structure both over land and water spans.

FJD Consulting have recently worked with a train operating company, supporting the delivery of station and depot surveys to supply layout plans for use within asset management. The FJD team surveyed a wide range of stations and depots on the Chiltern mainline in West Midlands, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and
London.

This development facilitated cross-London journeys. Work included platform lengthening, station remodelling, new railway infrastructure, and additional rolling stock.

FJD Consulting have provided the Electrical and Civil Engineering design associated with the modifications and alterations to the existing maintenance walkways at Tyne Yard Depot. The aim was to align the depot with the demands imposed by the integration of new rolling stock into the fleet.
