Tyne Yard Depot External Lighting & Walkway Design
FJD Consulting have provided the Electrical and Civil Engineering design associated with the modifications and alterations to the existing maintenance walkways at Tyne Yard Depot. The aim was to align the depot with the demands imposed by the integration of new rolling stock into the fleet.

FJD Consulting have provided the Electrical and Civil Engineering design associated with the modifications and alterations to the existing maintenance walkways at Tyne Yard Depot. The aim was to align the depot with the demands imposed by the integration of new rolling stock into the fleet.
The project comprised the design of over 1.5km of new walkways, track crossings and associated external low level bollard lighting compliant with BS-EN-12464-2.
Following an initial site survey to determine the condition of the existing site electrical infrastructure , and associated cable routing, the design team were able to apply this information into the design process to produce a time efficient and cost effective solution for the client in the span of only four weeks.
